Power Glam

Bullfrog

In the early 70’s my band Bullfrog were signed to Cube Records. In a
moment of madness we wrote a jokey song called “Riddley Tiddley Tum”.
We tried to cloak our daftness by naming it Glancy after our first
singer. However, our record company picked up on it and pronounced it
to be our first single. We were mortified being a serious rock outfit
so we promoted the B side on TV shows and the like which must have
driven our record company mad.

Anyway, I thought that was all long forgotten but it seems that in the
digital age your past is just behind you. I gather the track is out on
a compilation and doing very well under the title of “Blitzing the
Ballroom: 20 UK Power Glam Incendiaries” (oh my goodness!) It’s
available on Amazon http://bit.ly/powerglam and apparently it’s 59 in
Tower Records top 100 best sellers of glam rock CDs. Infamy at last!

Places, first notes finally laid down after 2 years

Ullswater

Two years ago I contemplated a music project idea in a restaurant in
Tuscany http://stmedia.org/places-in-time/

I've thought of it many times since but have still to lay down the
first track. At the weekend I finally began. I awoke in the
Blackenrigg Hotel to one of my favourite views overlooking Ullswater
in the English Lakes. On listening back once home again I must say the
slow evolving chords do indeed evoke that scene. Lots more needed
before there is a full music collection. I hope the soud of the Duomo
bells tolling in Prato is still in my iPaq.

All Hooked Up

Notes2

This little email will zap up to my Facebook and Twitter via my
Posterous blog through email and take a pic attachment with it along
the way. If I'd hooked up my Flicker account the pic would go there
too. Lately I've been hooking everything up to everything and it's
great fun. At the same time I've been writing it all up in my
TiddlyWiki http://www.tiddlywiki.com/ cos it's so easy to forget these
experiments and what is hooked to what. TiddlyWiki combined with
TiddlySpot is a great solution to taking field notes both offline and
online. http://tiddlyspot.com/

New Blog

East_cleveland

heh heh. Interesting when you think you've found something new, try to
sign up and then find your preferred username taken. Not because
someone got there before you but because you signed up yourself ages
ago and forgot!!!

So what to do with this remarkably easy way to blog? Well, since it
comes from my Gmail I'll blog stuff out of my gmail epicentre of my
digital universe. Stuff about social media stuff. Stuff from my google
reader. Who cares who's reading -it could be an aid memoir for myself.

Group blogs are now email lists, Twitter client integration

Hi Steve

Just wanted to update you with what's been going on over at
Posterous-- lots of new features and more on the way all the time.
Here's the biggest three features we launched since the last time we
talked...

Your group blog is now also an email list

You asked for group blogs. Check.
You asked for private, password protected blogs. You got it.
You asked for email lists and we have delivered.

Suddenly, it's easier than ever to collaborate and share with a small
group of teammates, family members, or friends. Anytime someone in
your contributor list emails to post, it gets sent to everyone. And
people can just reply by email to comment and continue the
conversation. Learn more »

Posterous is now integrated with all your favorite twitter clients

Do you love twitter like we love twitter? If so, you'll be glad to
know you can post images directly from your favorite clients including
Tweetie, Seesmic Desktop, Destroy Twitter, and tons more. Learn more »

Posterous works better than ever with Twitter (and Facebook!)

Did you know that your Twitter and Facebook followers can now comment
back without ever creating an account? They can login instantly using
Facebook Connect and Twitter oAuth to leave comments. Posterous was
the first service to offer Twitter oAuth as a way to authenticate for
comments. We brought it to you first! Learn more »

If you haven't linked your account up with your Facebook and Twitter
yet, you should do it now »

 And more...

 Posterous releases full API's
Now you can post, read, and get metadata through our newly minted
Posterous API's? If you're a software developer, we'd love for you to
tinker and start building the next generation of awesome user
generated content apps on the Posterous API. Talk to us if you have
special needs.

Embed a Posterous Widget in your existing blog
We've partnered with Widgetbox to provide a customizable,
easy-to-install blog widget that can go on your other blogs and
websites to show off your Posterous content. Read more »

We're working hard to make Posterous better every day. The best way to
keep track is by subscribing to our official blog. As always, feel
